The 'lake view' was misleading unless you were outside and looking at an angle. The cleanliness was overshadowed by the dated room furnishings, which included well-worn bedding and broken chairs. Expect tight parking if you're rolling in with something larger. The necessity to provide a bond via email or phone before check-in was a hassle not commonly faced elsewhere, which added to the overall inconvenience.

The spa bath was a total hit 🛁! Loved having a kitchenette to whip up meals. But man, those beds felt like rocks, and the exterior lights kept me up at night.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Lakeside Taupo Motel. The location was perfect, mere steps from the beautiful lake's edge, and just a leisurely 10-minute walk to the vibrant town center with plenty of dining options. My room was spacious and very clean, equipped with a full kitchenette for convenience.

The Twin Spa Studio was super clean and tidy, with a nice layout. The balcony gave stunning views of the lake. The bed was comfy, and I appreciated the quietness when the windows were shut. The manager was really accommodating about my asthma.
